The Buzzards are coming...to the Spicewood Buzzard Bump, to be held Saturday, May 19, from 10 am to 7 pm!
Sponsored annually by the Spicewood Lions Club, the festival site is in Spicewood, only 35 miles northwest of Austin on Highway 71, between the towns of Bee Cave and Marble Falls.
This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a full slate of musical entertainment headlined by Larry Joe Taylor as well as live action Wild West Shows performed by the Brazos Bottom Cowographers. Designed to appeal to people of all ages, it will also feature a “Bird Cook-Off,” a “Road Kill” Car/Truck/Motorcycle Show, washer pitching tournament, merchandise and food vendors, and more.
For entry, a donation of $3 (or 3 canned goods) is requested (free for children under 5), with free parking at the site. The event is again “BYOB” (ice chests allowed) and dog-friendly (if leashed and well-behaved). Covered seating will be available in the “Rest Your Buns” tent, and folding chairs and blankets are permitted as well.
